Position Overview:
Berkeley County Schools is seeking a motivated and qualified Health Sciences Instructor to launch and lead a new high-profile Medical Education (Med Ed) pathway preparing high school students for careers in healthcare. This program supported by a partnership with WVU Medicine and other local healthcare institutions offers students real-world learning in clinical and medical office environments.
The ideal candidate is a licensed RN or certified Medical Assistant with recent hands-on experience in healthcare and a passion for working with students. Berkeley County Schools is seeking a motivated and qualified Health Sciences Instructor to lead the Medical Education (Med Ed) Pathway a high-profile program designed to prepare high school students for meaningful careers in healthcare. This innovative initiativedeveloped in partnership with WVU Medicine Berkeley Medical Center and other regional healthcare leadersprovides students with real-world hands-on learning in clinical and medical office environments.
As a key instructional leader you will guide students through a rigorous curriculum that integrates classroom instruction simulated workplace practices and supervised clinical experiences. You will collaborate closely with healthcare professionals and educational partners to ensure that students graduate with both the skills and the confidence needed to pursue careers or further education in health sciences.
The ideal candidate is a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) or certified Medical Assistant with recent hands-on experience in healthcare and a deep passion for mentoring young people. Strong communication skills a collaborative mindset and a commitment to student success and workforce development are essential for this role.
