Behavioral Health Counselor San Jose CA
Responsibilities: work w/multidisciplinary team to provide direct behavioral health rehab services to clients including individual/group/family counseling culturally relevant assessment evaluation and case mgmt. using array of evidence-based & trauma-informed interventions.
Qualifications
Masters degree in psychology clinical counseling social work or closely related field; must have valid CA counselor/therapist (associate or full) license; experience or skills in: DSM-V criteria for mental health diagnoses; trauma-informed & evidenced-based practices; administering of behavioral health assessments safety plan development to evaluate suicide risk symptoms daily functioning; application of evidence-based interventions to manage client symptoms; cultural dynamics & family structures; applicable legal/ethical guidelines for clinical practice; oral & written presentations/communications; must be sensitive to multicultural issues (age education gender race ethnicity LGBTQIA etc.).
