Job Summary
The role of General Liability Claims Representative involves direct handling of business owner liability claims. This position requires expertise in analyzing coverage issues performing routine claim adjusting functions drafting coverage letters and evaluating claims. Frequent communication with various parties including attorneys is a key aspect of this role. Strong writing and interpersonal skills along with knowledge of standard industry liability forms are essential for success in this position.
Compensation Package
- Salary Range: $85000 - $105000 per year (depending on experience)

Responsibilities
- Manage an active desk of fast-track property damage liability claims under business owner policies.
- Analyze coverage issues under various standard industry forms including Business Owners Coverage Form Garagekeepers Hired Non-Owned Auto and Auto Services.
- Investigate evaluate and adjust new loss notices and claim tenders.
- Adjust total auto losses as part of liability claims.
- Collaborate on setting reserves at appropriate levels for claims.
- Utilize sound judgment in managing Allocated Loss Adjustment Expenses (ALAE).
- Document claim files in accordance with established guidelines.
- Obtain and maintain adjuster licenses as required.
Qualifications/Requirements
Performance Requirements:
- Strong analytical skills.
- Proficiency in verbal and written communication including proper grammar usage and clear concise information delivery.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
- Ability to work independently meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Prompt responsiveness to inquiries with a sense of urgency.
- High attention to detail and the ability to execute good judgment in sensitive situations.
- Proficiency with MS Word Excel and internet applications.
Education:
- Bachelors degree (BA/BS) required.
- CPCU or other industry designation is a plus.
- State adjuster license(s).
Experience:
- A minimum of three years of prior general liability claims adjusting experience.
- Experience in handling bodily injury claims is required.
