School Counselor (July 17 2025)Reports To: The Director of School CounselingJob Overview: The School Counselor is a part of the Counseling Office and works with the Director of School Counseling to execute and implement the 4-year Counseling program at Purcell Marian High ideal candidate will provide academic college/career and social-emotional counseling services to students in grades 9-12. This position plays a critical role in supporting Purcell Marian student success fostering personal growth and preparing students for their post-secondary :Bachelors degree required masters preferredSchool Counseling license is preferred or ability to quickly acquire certification Experience teaching or working in a diverse environmentFamiliarity with ASCA NACAC OACAC OACTE NCDA and other professional organizations Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to exercise excellent judgment in decision-making; work collaboratively and gather and analyze data compile information and prepare reportsProficient in MS Office particularly Word Excel and PowerPoint experience utilizing the Google Suite Google Classroom and ZoomAdvanced knowledge of Overgrad the Common Application and other college and career oriented programsUphold the core values associated to Purcell Marian The Marianists and the Archdiocese of Cincinnati.
