The primary focus of this role will be to leverage financial data to advise inform and help in key decision making for the Retail organization with a focus on labor planning budgeting forecasting and budgeting. This role acts as a liaison between the Finance Department and the JD Finish Line and Finish Line Macys Retail Operations Departments.. This individual should effectively exhibit JD Finish Lines core values of Customer People Winning Community and Financial Responsibility in everything they do by performing the following main duties:
Owns manages drives and advises on the creation and management of Retail labor budgets.
Creates and manages reports and the delivery of helpful information to the Finance and Retail Leadership Teams.
Plays a key role in understanding technical capabilities of workforce and finance systems to proactively bring innovative data views to aid in enhancing the financial positioning of the retail organization.
Through leveraging data and system tools makes recommendations to optimize labor to deliver optimal service to the customer while reaching financial targets.
Evaluates unplanned changes in store traffic sales trends and other data to aid in forecasting activities to meet ever-evolving business needs.
Participates in cross-functional efforts within Finance and Retail to improve planning and reporting capabilities.
May support other departments on an ad-hoc basis in general financial planning activities.
Supports ad-hoc project work in the FP&A function which may include work on system enhancements and roll-outs (workforce finance etc.)

Required Education and/or Experience:
Bachelors degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university preferably in a Finance or business focused function and 2-4 years of relevant experience in financial planning retail analytics or retail operations or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in understanding the business of retail as well as a proven track record of taking data to make recommendations in preferred.
Required Computer and/or Technical Skills:
Intermediate to advanced knowledge and abilities with Microsoft Word Excel Powerpoint and/or Google Suite applications is required. Experience working in and/or ability to quickly learn various enterprise systems is required.
