Job Description
Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world.
Its Day 1 for Amazons next billion-dollar business and we are looking for a Sr. Product Manager to drive operational readiness and commercial strategy. In this role you will work in a dynamic start-up environment.
As part of Kuipers Global Business Operations team you will play a pivotal role in defining creating and managing the central mechanisms that ensure our business is run effectively at launch and beyond. This role offers exposure to both strategic planning and operational execution. The successful candidate will help shape the processes we use to run our business and the tools we build to automate and scale over time.
Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national U.S. permanent resident (i.e. current Green Card holder) or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Key job responsibilities
- Design implement and lead operational readiness programs to ensure smooth business launch and ongoing operations.
- Drive clarity in organization spanning technical systems and operational workflows.
- Dive deep into business metrics helping to define what we measure how and why.
- Navigate through ambiguity and drive consensus between cross-functional stakeholder groups.
- Write effective narratives and present them concisely to senior management.
- 5 years of product or business management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program / product strategy end to end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience creating maintaining and leading mechanisms
- Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights
- Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $124500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
