Position Summary...
Join Walmart as a Director Corporate Development and M&A and lead high-impact strategic initiatives that shape the companys future. This is a unique opportunity to drive Walmarts inorganic growth through acquisitions investments and partnerships across Walmart U.S. Sams Club and Walmart International. As a central leader youll serve as the deal lead for all elements of the M&A process working closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.About the Team
Walmarts Corporate Development team is a small high-performing group that partners with senior leadership to identify evaluate and execute strategic M&A opportunities. The teams mission is to drive value through acquisitions investments divestitures and strategic partnerships supporting Walmarts growth and innovation goals. As a Director youll collaborate with business and functional leaders as well as external partners to deliver transformative results.
What youll do...
- Serve as the deal lead for all elements of the M&A process from strategy formulation to execution and integration.
- Partner with senior leaders across all business units and geographies to develop M&A strategy and identify assess and execute acquisitions and investments.
- Lead financial modeling valuation analysis and due diligence for potential transactions.
- Build and manage relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners including investment banks private equity and venture capital firms.
- Develop and present compelling business cases and recommendations to Walmarts senior leadership.
- Oversee post-close integration and support the realization of deal value and synergies.
What Youll Bring
- Significant experience in corporate development investment banking private equity or a related field with a strong track record in M&A execution.
- Advanced financial modeling valuation and analytical skills with the ability to assess complex transactions and drive strategic recommendations.
- Proven leadership and relationship management skills with experience engaging senior executives and cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities capable of influencing decision-making at the highest levels.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced dynamic environment and deliver results under tight deadlines.
- Strategic mindset with a passion for driving growth and innovation through M&A.
