Job Description

Technology Engineer (CCTV/ANPR)

  • Technology Engineer (CCTV/ANPR)
  • Home-based in the Glasgow area
  • 34000 to 38000 per year ( vehicle regular overtime)

The Opportunity:

We are currently looking for an engineer to conduct maintenance and repair of roadside technologies such as cameras message signs and detectors.

You will work in a field-based capacity covering assets deployed around the Greater Glasgow area (with occasional trips to Northern England) conducting reactive and preventative maintenance activities as well as calibration and commissioning.

I am happy to speak to individuals coming from backgrounds in telecoms CCTV/ANPR security and alarms systems with some electrical knowledge/qualifications particularly if you have any knowledge or interest in LAN and WAN Networks and IP Configuration and willingness to work on roadside technology.

Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience working as a maintenance engineer
  • Experience of fault finding equipment at component level
  • Hands on experience with CCTV ANPR or roadside technology (highly desirable)
  • Networking knowledge or certifications (CCNA/Comp TIA etc.) (desirable)
  • Current G39 HERS8 NRSWA NHSS8 Qualification (highly desirable)
  • Able to undertake planned night work and weekend working (1 in 4)
  • Full UK drivers licence

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Fault response and repair of roadside equipment
  • Carry out routine maintenance visits on all equipment in line with provided schedule
  • Conduct preventative maintenance to reduce fault rates
  • Carry out fault finding to component level
  • Root cause analysis of system faults.
  • Coordinate with the lead engineers to arrange maintenance and inspection schedules
