Job Description

LCRAs Line Operations group is looking for an Equipment Operator to join us in our mission to enhance the lives of Central Texans. Based out of Eastern Maintenance Facility in La Grange TX you will focus on transmission line right of ways using heavy equipment and chemicals to maintain them. You will be trusted to:
- Operate equipment as assigned for construction projects.
- Maintain equipment. Inspect clean adjust lubricate and make minor adjustments and repairs on the equipment or may make arrangements for major repairs and overhaul as needed.
- Participate in training to gain greater knowledge of procedures tools and safe equipment operation pertinent to assigned work area.
- Transport heavy equipment (e.g. backhoe dump truck small excavator and large excavator).
- Load haul and unload various equipment.
- Interpret and follow all safety departmental policies and procedures.
- Perform work by traveling independently or with a small crew to various locations (substations power plants water systems etc.) as scheduled.
You qualify with:
- Zero or more years of experience in operating large equipment such as bulldozers backhoes excavators cranes tractor trailers farm equipment or other machinery.
- Drivers license
You are a great fit with:
- Class A Texas commercial drivers license
- TDA Herbicide Applicators License
