The Boeing CompanyBoeing is seeking an Operational Excellence Manager (Level K) to join our team. This position will lead a newly created workstream within Enterprise Services Technology & Systems supporting the Source-to-Pay (S2P) Value Stream for Indirect Supply Chain as well as the Acquire-to-Retire (A2R) Value Stream for Global Real Estate and Facilities. Enterprise Services is a team of 2500 employees whose collective mission is to enable the build of Boeings products. Enterprise Services provides strategic partnership and support to all Boeing business units through multiple service towers creating outsized impact and value across the Enterprise. The individual in this role would be a part of Enterprise Services Operational Excellence & Transformation team.
This position will be responsible for daily leadership of business processes management systems deliver on complex organizational critical objectives as well as execute highly complex and cross-functional strategic objectives end-to-end from strategy development stakeholder alignment work execution management communication and ensuring lasting sustainment of change and improvements. In addition it will serve a strategic leadership purpose within the extended Enterprise Services Technology & Systems leadership team to help shape the future of the function.

You will partner closely with all aspects of the organizations executive and senior management teams within Enterprise Services. You will use your influence and leadership to engage and coordinate with teams located across the global portfolio with support to numerous sites in multiple countries provinces and cities. This position and your work location may be located within the domestic U.S. It will require infrequent travel to visit stakeholders at other sites as business needs require.
Position Responsibilities:
Lead Business Operations activities to deliver value for our function including:
Leadership & Team Management. Lead and mentor a high-performing business operations team ensuring alignment with company objectives. Foster a culture of accountability collaboration and innovation within the team. Drive cross-functional collaboration between departments to achieve seamless operational integration.
Risk Management & Compliance. Develop and implement risk management strategies to minimize operational risks and ensure business continuity. Establish and maintain systems for reporting and addressing operational risks and issues.
Operational Efficiency. Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead initiatives to streamline operations across all departments. Implement best practices in operations management using lean improvements to better enable business success Oversee the development and deployment of operational metrics to track performance and drive continuous improvement.
Strategic Planning & Execution. Develop and implement operational strategies that support the companys long-term growth and profitability goals. Collaborate with executive leadership to set strategic priorities and allocate resources effectively. Monitor industry trends and innovations to keep the function competitive and forward-thinking.
Lead Program Management activities which enable delivery of key process and technology deployments and releases to their supported value streams.
PMO Establishment & Governance. Develop and implement the PMO structure including frameworks methodologies and governance processes. Define and enforce project management standards ensuring consistency and quality across all projects.
Portfolio Management. Oversee the functions portfolio of projects and programs ensuring alignment with business strategy and objectives. Manage the portfolio lifecycle from initiation through execution and closure ensuring on-time on-budget delivery. Regularly review and assess the portfolio to ensure it meets the organizations goals and provides value.
Leadership & Team Management. Lead mentor and develop a team of project managers ensuring they have the skills and resources needed for success. Foster a collaborative environment promoting knowledge sharing and best practices within the PMO team. Drive a culture of accountability and excellence in project delivery.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication. Serve as the primary point of contact for project-related communication across the organization. Engage with executive leadership providing regular updates on project status risks and opportunities. Ensure clear and consistent communication with all stakeholders including customers vendors and team members.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation. Stay abreast of industry trends tools and best practices in project and program management. Drive innovation within the PMO exploring new methodologies tools and technologies that can enhance project delivery. Lead efforts to improve the efficiency effectiveness and agility of the PMO.
Organizational Leadership
Support strategic organizational change through close partnership with leadership team
Acquire resources for organizational activities; develop integrated organizational plans policies and procedures; guide the development of business and technical strategies goals objectives
Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders peers and business partners
Manage lead develop and motivate employees and other leaders.
This role will involve up to 25% domestic travel
This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring teams discretion and could potentially change in the future.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5 years of experience in Project Management Program Management and/or Business Operations
5 years of experience communicating and collaborating directly with internal or external customers peers other employees and all levels of leadership
5 years of experience leading projects or teams
5 years of experience with Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint and Outlook
5 years of experience utilizing analytical and problem-solving skills to formulate research questions design experiments and interpret results
3 years of experience utilizing project management tools and methods such as MS Projects Milestones Open Project Professional etc.
Experience performing in a leadership role
Up to 25% domestic travel
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience with Boeing or Aerospace industry
Experience in consulting and/or project management in a large complex industrial company
Strong understanding of continuous improvement methodologies
High attention to detail self-starter results driven
Experience solving complex business problems and delivering solutions
