Responsibilities
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Medical Information Management Technician II regularly performs a variety of more complex MIM Tech functions under the general supervision of the manager.
Processes and manages government denials. Exercises a high degree of independence and initiative and may be assigned to work on special projects and assist less experienced MIM Techs in the performance of MIM responsibilities. .
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in Medical Information Management required or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Associates degree in Health Information Management or related field preferred
- Understands the organization and operation of a medical records department
- Understanding of database managment principles required.
- Proficient with MicroSoft office suite required
- Meditech experience preferred
- Demonstrated customer service skills required
- Medical terminology required
- Able to read speak and write English
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions correctly
