- Build and maintain customer relationships.
- Answer incoming phone calls and provide rental rates and quotes.
- Check rentals in and out each day and maintain contract files and rental reservations.
- Write rental contracts on a PC program.
- Schedule pick-up and/or delivery of rental equipment and load/unload equipment.
- Sell Stihl-brand products including customer education support and product registration.
- Engage in discussions with customers related to the proper equipment based on customers needs.
- Support the retail store as needed (customer service stocking cashiering).
- Able to work a flexible schedule to support business needs including weekends.
- Superior organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn computer-based concepts quickly.
- Capable of handling multiple tasks at one time.
- Good driving record some delivery and pick-ups. Ability to drive a trailer is a plus.
- Knowledge of or ability to learn all rental equipment including operation application capabilities and limitations.
- Knowledge of or ability to learn routine maintenance and troubleshooting requirements of all rental equipment.
- Aptitude/general knowledge of (or interest and ability to learn about) small engines.
- Ability to perform light tune-ups oil changes and small parts replacement on rental equipment.
- Able to lift bend and stand as required by the job.
