This paraprofessional will primarily workin the RESET program in an elementary school.
JOB SUMMARY
The job of Paraprofessional I is to assist assigned teaching personnel in the supervision and instruction of students and performing classroom clerical tasks in support of the instructional RESET paraprofessional provides support to the educational mission of the school and department administrators in a safe and efficient manner. This position requires professional judgment. Individuals in these roles may be asked to move between roles and responsibilities in this job description based on the need of the school or department.This position will supervise students during lunch and recess periods.
Department Overview
This position will assist the RESET elementary teacher with supervision and programming for students with behavioral goals and objectives. This role also provides one-on-one support for students with behavior plans. The RESET paraprofessional will be responsible for implementing students learning and behavior plans to meet students social and behavioral interventions health care plans and ensure compliance with IEPs.

The usual and customary methods of performing the jobs functions require the following physical demands: occasional lifting carrying pushing and pulling some climbing and balancing some stooping kneeling crouching and crawling and some fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 40% sitting 30% walking and 30% standing. This job is performed in a generally hazard-free environment.
