Job Description

Amazon is seeking candidates for IN UFF & SSD Procurement Org. The Primary role of buyer is to plan shipping supplies logistics and Inventory Management of re-usable assets for 36 amazon owned sites across India. The candidate will partner with internal stakeholders to develop a strong inventory management system and drive improvements in costs efficiency and delivery of products and services to support launch of the new distribution model. This leader will have seller business acumen be comfortable interfacing and driving conversations with various functional teams have a passion for developing and implementing processes in an ambiguous problem space and be willing to roll up their sleeves to build a small programs that will significantly impact Amazons inventory management capabilities. A successful candidate will be highly analytical resourceful customer-focused team oriented and will have an ability to work independently under time constraints to meet deadlines. The leader will have a proven track record in taking on end-to-end ownership and successfully deliver results in a fast-paced and dynamic business environment.

Key job responsibilities
1. Planning the right stocks for over 70 nodes in GSF.
2. Ensuring stock counting cadence across miles/nodes.
3. Ensuring procurement and distribution by liaising with central procurement team.
4. Ensuring forward/transit scans for totes.
5. Monitor and control tote losses.
6. Extend need base support to operations for asset shortages.
7. Participate in year on year asset improvement exercise.
8. Monitor and control usage of assets as intended.

A day in the life
The Buyer will be creative detail driven outgoing and have excellent problem solving and program management abilities. He/She will work with other buyers Managers and stakeholders to define requirements build a sustainable model for inventory management assign responsibilities and develop rack and trace mechanism to ensure controller-ship.

- 1 years of customer-facing environment warehousing logistics or manufacturing experience
- Bachelors degree
- Speak write and read fluently in English
- Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications
- Experience with Excel
