Job Description

The Senior Fire Alarm Technician role involves leadership responsibilities including mentoring trainees and assistants. The Fire Alarm Technician is a key contributor to Classic Fire Life Safetys operations and growth. The Fire Alarm Technician is a full-time hourly position.


Task & Responsibilities:
Perform weekly monthly semi-annual and annual inspections as required.
Service work and repairs on fire alarm systems
Installation verification and programming of systems
Work with junior technicians to provide learning and knowledge transfer.
Participate in the on-call schedule as required.
Other duties as assigned.



Qualifications:
CFAA Technician Registration
5 plus years of experience in the fire alarm industry
Excellent troubleshooting and possess a high level of electronic skills.
Knowledgeable on applicable codes and standards
Knowledge of intercom and security systems an asset
Good organizational skills
Efficiency in computer and mobile App skills
Self-motivated with focus on customer care
Clean drivers abstract and valid drivers license.


Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs.
  • Comfortable working at heights on lifts and ladders as required for inspections and installations.
  • Ability to work in various environments (e.g. indoors outdoors mechanical rooms).
