Candidates are invited to apply for the position detailed below Extendicare Michener Hill a continuing care facility located in Red Deer Alberta. This facility is home to 220 Continuing Care beds and 60 Designated Assisted Living Beds.
Reporting to: Director of Care
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the Director of Care the LPN will:
- Ensure resident care is provided within established nursing standards and principles physicians orders and administrative policies
- Use the Nursing Process of Assessment Plan Implement and Evaluate a resident health and develop individualized resident care plans
- Plans directs supervises and evaluates the work of the Health Care Aide
- Assists in orientating mentoring and competency development of staff
- Demonstrates leadership skills
- Qualifications
- Graduate of Licensed Practical Nurse Program
- Registered in good standing with CLPNA
- Caring compassionate dependable ethical and mature
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to manage stressful situations.
- Critical thinking skills
- Good time management skills to work in fast paced environment.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Current CPR and First Aide
- Experience with MDS-RAI assessments
