About our client:
Our client is undertaking a strategic review and optimisation of its Source to Pay (S2P) processes and SAP Ariba platform. This initiative focuses on improving user experience automation compliance and reporting across procurement and contract management workflows. The team values deep functional expertise process simplification and scalable architecture.
About the role:
We are seeking an experienced Ariba Solution Architect to lead a targeted review and redesign of the Ariba/iBuy platform and its integrations. The role involves evaluating current configurations identifying optimisation opportunities and supporting business case development for future enhancements. This is a hands-on consultative role requiring strong knowledge of SAP Ariba modules and procurement lifecycle processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct a review of documented S2C and P2P process opportunities across the Source to Pay lifecycle.
- Identify user experience challenges guided buying limitations and manual workarounds.
- Assess Ariba/iBuy configuration for underutilised or redundant functionalities.
- Evaluate use of standard vs custom features and recommend simplification strategies.
- Review key modules: Supplier Management Guided Buying Contract Management Catalogues and 3-Way Match.
- Analyse integration architecture focusing on MuleSoft and data flow issues.
- Recommend improvements for automation control and real-time synchronisation across systems (Ariba Oracle Maximo).
- Review tactical sourcing usage and Delegation of Authority (DOA) logic for compliance and efficiency.
- Assess supplier onboarding performance tracking and contract lifecycle management capabilities.
- Evaluate reporting and analytics tools identifying gaps and recommending enhancements for spend visibility and drill-down insights.
- Recommend governance improvements to strengthen compliance and standardisation.
- Provide technical inputs and frameworks for business case development including effort estimates solution recommendations and implementation roadmaps.
Required Experience:
- SAP Ariba SLP optimised supplier request and registration design.
- SAP Ariba Guided Buying design of intuitive buying journeys.
- Experience with catalogues setup invoice against contract goods receiving and invoice exception handling.
- Approval process configuration including DOA.
- Invoicing channel optimisation and SAP Business Network enablement.
- SAP Ariba Contract and Guided Sourcing template and workflow setup.
- Ariba reporting and analytics.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with SAP Ariba Supplier Risk (optional).
- Strong stakeholder engagement and documentation skills.
- Ability to support business case development and roadmap planning.
