Job Description

The Glennie School located in Toowoomba Queensland is an Anglican day and boarding school for girls from Kindergarten to Year 12 with boarding for students from Year 5. The School enjoys an excellent reputation for the quality of its programs care and support offered to students as well as the commitment dedication and professionalism of its staff.

About the role:
We are looking for a hard working full-time Grounds Person. The role will include caring for gardens lawns sports fields and landscaped areas contributing to the safety functionality and visual appeal of the school. Reporting to the Facilities Manager the Grounds person plays a vital role in maintaining the Schools facilities and infrastructure to an exceptional standard.

You will:

  • Perform tasks such as mowing brush cutting edging weeding fertilizing watering pruning and clearing pathways and gutters
  • Gather and dispose of green waste and other debris

  • Apply top dressing to lawns and manage pests

  • Manage landscaping and garden revitalisation projects including the installation of agricultural drains paving micro-irrigation systems and mulch; removal of unwanted vegetation; soil cultivation; and replanting efforts.

  • Conduct routine maintenance across the entire campus including general handyman tasks
