RC Student Support Services Director
Qualifications
Masters degree required. Highly preferred in Guidance and Counseling or related field. Other fields may be considered with job experience related to working with a similar population.
At least two years experience designing managing and implementing SSS or similar programs for at-risk students required
At least two years experience working in higher education .
preferably at a community college
Two years experience administering federal grants preferred
Demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles and budget procedures
Demonstrated knowledge of ADA regulations
Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
Responsibilities
Oversee development implementation and operation of all activities and services including
budget development approval of expenditures
Recruit hire train supervise and evaluate all personnel hired by the project
Serve as liaison between SSS and the RC community
Prepare and submit Annual Performance Reports to Dept. of Ed.; ensure accurate and complete
data is maintained
Develop and conduct in-services for staff students and faculty
Implement Evaluation Plan ensuring cohort and control group tracking for evaluation of student
outcomes
Assume advising and SSP caseload
Lead Financial Aid Financial Literacy Cultural Enrichment activities; assist in providing all
services to participants
Salary
Salary may be modified with justification and approval from the Department of Education
(Note: A selected candidates resume must be submitted to the Dept of Ed for approval prior to being employed.)
ANNUAL SALARY/BENEFITS: Highly competitive and commensurate with experience and credentials. Group health and life insurance (60 day waiting period for health) and retirement benefits (TRS or ORP). Optional benefits include disability and dental insurance.
