To lead and
manage all testing activities in the R&D department for lead acid
batteries, ensuring accurate evaluation of battery performance, safety, and
reliability. The role supports product development and innovation by overseeing
rigorous testing processes, analyzing results, and providing data-driven
insights to improve battery design, quality, and lifecycle performance. The
Testing Incharge ensures compliance with industry standards, promotes
laboratory safety, and contributes to the continuous advancement of lead acid
battery technology.
Roles and responsibilities
The R&D Testing
Incharge for Lead Acid Batteries is responsible for overseeing all
testing-related activities within the research and development department. This
role involves managing the performance, lifecycle, safety, and reliability
tests of lead acid batteries to support product development, innovation, and
quality improvements.
Plan, execute, and supervise testing protocols
for new and existing lead acid battery products.
Manage test schedules, prioritize tasks, and
ensure timely completion of testing projects.
Set up and calibrate test equipment including
life cycle testers, charge/discharge setups, and temperature chambers.
Conduct capacity, charge/discharge, high-rate
discharge, and deep cycle testing.
Monitor battery behavior under various
environmental and load conditions (e.g., temperature, humidity, vibration).
Evaluate performance against international
standards (e.g., IEC, BIS, Battery IS Standard, JIS).
Analyze test data to assess battery performance,
durability, and failure modes.
Generate comprehensive technical reports with
test results, graphs, and conclusions.
Recommend design or material changes based on
test findings.
Lead a team of testing technicians and
engineers.
Provide technical guidance, training, and
mentorship.
Coordinate with design, production, and quality
teams to align test results with product development.
Ensure all testing activities comply with safety
regulations and standard operating procedures.
Maintain documentation as per ISO/IEC standards
and ensure test traceability.
Monitor chemical safety practices, especially
while handling acid and lead components.
Develop new or improved test methodologies to
accelerate R&D cycles.
Contribute to new battery design validation and
competitive benchmarking. Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies and
industry best practices
