Job Description Summary
The Panther Newspaper Photographer is responsible for capturing images that complement the newspapers written content. This role involves photographing a variety of events portraits and features as well as working closely with the editorial team to ensure visual consistency and quality.
Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities: Capture Key Events: Photograph campus events sports games student activities breaking news and other newsworthy moments. Capture comprehensive coverage of major events. Work with Editorial Team: Collaborate with editors and writers to understand photographic needs and assignments. Photograph Portraits and Features: Capture portraits of students faculty and interview subjects. Edit and retouch photos as needed. Enhance Digital and Print Content: Collaborate with the multimedia team to provide images for online content social media and multimedia projects. Ensure photos are formatted for both print and digital formats.
Required Qualifications
Background in photojournalism. Ability to maintain professionalism and uphold ethical reporting standards.
