Data Migration and Cutover is a program level critical deliverable and thus we need to ensure that this activity is standardized and structured and anchored to a central governance.
Data validations and orchestration has to base on best practices incl technology interventions.
Data (Master Transactional Reference) that is being migrated should be fit for purpose based on NFTP tenets and thus its important that data quality standards are defined and aligned with data owners.
Cutover activities (technical and business) need to be executed with proper controls and with minimal/null impact on BAU processes
Key Responsibilities:
Overall responsible of the data migration in collaboration with technical data migration lead
Responsible for managing multiple release relating to data migration
Responsible for data migration across all functional work streams
Responsible to identify data to be transitioned from legacy systems to S/4 HANA MDG etc.
Develop core data migration deliverables and support the testing throughout the data migration test cycles
Segregation of Master reference and transactional data
Support the program plan for each iteration of data migration
Assessment of data quality together with data owners and stewards
Management of risks associated with Data Migration
Required Skills:
Very good project management skills preferably agile methodologies.
Prior experience with S4 HANA implementation projects incl understanding the impact of data in various processes.
Very good knowledge in the overall data migration and cutover process incl best practices and technology interventions.
Good understanding finance & accounting processes (OTC PTP ATR TAX Cash & Bank Control and Management reporting)
Able to work independently and drive/demonstrate collaboration with various stakeholders/teams.
Strong stakeholder management incl creating visibility to senior leadership
Required business/Technical knowledge:
Understanding of the ecosystem around data (master transactional and reference)
Understanding on the usage of data elements/objects in various processes scoped within NFTP
