Job Description
Join the Future of Healthcare at Springfields newest Hospital Mater Hospital Springfield Senior Medical Officer and Leadership Vacancies Now Open in multiple specialty areas for a start date in early 2026.
Springfields newest state of the art hospital is opening soon a co-located public and private Level 4 hospital and were assembling a dynamic collaborative and expert medical team to lead the way in providing outstanding care to our growing community.
Based at our Springfield campus this role will be part of a landmark moment in Queensland healthcare at Mater Hospital Springfield opening early 2026. As Maters first new public hospital in over 60 years this state of the art facility will meet the needs of the growing Greater Springfield region. With 174 public beds ICU maternity emergency and surgical services its set to care for over 200000 patients annually.

About you
You will have Registration as Specialist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Authority (or soon to be registered as a Specialist) within one of the specialty fields listed above.
- You will also meet the criteria:
- If you overseas trained and not on a competent pathway your degree must be assessed and approved by the Australian Medical Council (AMC). Competent Authority pathway or Standard pathway
- You must be an Australian citizen permanent resident or hold/be eligible for a visa that allows you to work as a doctor in Australia.
