Job Description
Location: Fort Worth TX 76104
Shift: Full Time Days 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week
Compensation: Based on experience
- Conducts comprehensive or focused physical exams and obtains detailed medical histories.
- Orders interprets and evaluates diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions and health needs.
- Prescribes medications and therapeutic treatments in accordance with protocols and scope of practice.
- Develops implements and monitors evidence-based outcome-driven patient treatment plans.
- Provides pre- and post-operative care including inpatient rounding and Emergency Department consultations.
- Performs minor procedures and assists in surgical operations under the supervision of a physician.
- Counsels patients and families on medical conditions medications nutrition and wellness strategies.
- Maintains accurate medical documentation and refers patients appropriately when beyond scope.
- Offers specialty consultations and actively participates in multidisciplinary care planning.
- Participates in after-hours or weekend coverage as needed by the department.
- Deep understanding of human anatomy pharmacology surgical principles and treatment protocols.
- Skilled in clinical decision-making and evidence-based practices.
- Proficient with EMRs and other healthcare-related software.
- Strong interpersonal communication and critical thinking abilities.
- Ability to interpret lab results and imaging studies.
- Comfortable working in high-pressure clinical environments.
- Collaborative mindset and commitment to patient-centered care.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Experience: (Less than 1 year required).
- License:
- Active Physician Assistant license in the state of Texas.
- Certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
