We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-oriented Front Office Supervisor to join our team in Amsterdam Netherlands. As a key member of our hospitality management team you will lead front office activities and ensure an exceptional guest experience from check-in to check-out.
- Oversee the daily operations of the front office including check-ins reservations and guest requests
- Lead motivate and develop a team of front office staff to maintain high standards of service
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless experience for guests
- Monitor and manage room inventory overbookings and revenue optimisation
- Create and maintain staff schedules including rotas and holiday planning
- Implement and maintain quality standards and the hotels quality management system
- Conduct training and interdepartmental coaching for new and existing employees
- Handle guest complaints and resolve issues promptly and professionally
- Assist with budget management for the front office department
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies procedures and industry regulations
Qualifications :
- Completed hotel management studies or equivalent qualification in the hospitality industry
- Minimum of 2 years experience in the front office area of a hotel
- Proven management experience in a supervisory role in the hotel industry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with fluency in Dutch and English
- Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Proficiency in hotel management software and reservation systems
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced customer-focused environment
- Experience in training and developing staff
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including weekends and bank holidays
- Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and increasing customer satisfaction
- In-depth knowledge of hospitality industry standards and best practices
- Excellent multitasking ability and capacity to prioritise in a dynamic work environment
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Empathetic approach to guest relations and team management
