About the Role

Boston Universitys Office of the University Registrar is seeking a detail-oriented and student-focused Senior Program Coordinator to support core functions that uphold the integrity of academic records and contribute to student success. Reporting to the Senior Assistant Registrar this position plays a vital role in ensuring accurate maintenance of student records and compliance with university state and federal policies.

The Senior Program Coordinator will support key areas such as enrollment registration academic records degree conferral academic scheduling and transcript processing. This individual will work relatively independently and be cross-trained to provide support across various registrar functions particularly during peak operational periods.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and update student academic records in the student information system including demographic updates academic program changes course enrollment changes leaves of absence withdrawals and grades.

Interpret and apply university and regulatory policies to resolve complex student and academic issues in a timely and accurate manner.

Respond to student and staff inquiries via email and workflow ticketing systems; investigate and troubleshoot record-related issues while maintaining FERPA compliance.

Review applications for degree conferral evaluate student records for completion of academic requirements and communicate with academic departments advisors and students to support graduation processing.

Process transcript requests and manage transcript-related inquiries; audit and maintain historical academic records to ensure accuracy and proper documentation.

It supports the instructional and student progress endeavors of Boston University by providing quality services to students faculty academic and administrative departments and the public. We supervise registration and the evaluation of transfer credit maintain student academic records and record grades issue transcripts verify enrollment and graduation issue diplomas assign classrooms produce the class schedule schedule final examinations and oversee production of the Bulletin and the Degree Advice system.

Across the 11 departments of ENSA we are dedicated to ensuring that our policies practices and services meet the needs of an increasingly inclusive University community of students families faculty staff and alumni. We do so through a lens of respect and a commitment to encouraging the personal success and productivity of all employees.
