Job Description

Overview

The Pharmacy Technician II Certified IV Ambulatory performs specialized functions necessary to assist pharmacists in providing safe efficient and cost-effective services. Working under moderate supervision this role maintains workflow inventory billing and other complex pharmacy processes.

Responsibilities


Compounds hazardous and non-hazardous IV medications evaluates for accuracy.
Documents regulatory tasks including daily and weekly cleaning.
Assists pharmacists in medication preparation by preparing labeling and organizing prescriptions.
Assists with inventory maintenance in order to ensure equipment is available as needed by pharmacy staff.
Delivers high-quality customer service to provide a positive experience that meets patient needs.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications


EDUCATION:Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
EXPERIENCE:Required: 2 years
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:Required: Pharmacy Technician certification through PTCB or NHA prior to hire
Registered with the NC Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire
