Job Description
Licensed Practical Nurse Full-time
2025-2026 School Year
Locations to be determined
Position Summary:
Responsible for providing care to students and staff under the supervision and guidance of the schools registered nurse.
Qualifications:
- Requires a diploma from an accredited college or nursing school
- Required to be a Licensed Practical Nurse and maintain current licensure
- CPR and First Aid Certification recommended
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology
- Basic math skills required
Essential Job Functions include the following:
- Provides first aid in accordance with the Health Procedure Manual
- Administers medication under the supervision of the school nurse
- Documents student visits care dispositions and medications administered and accidents/incidents
- Performs general clerical duties as assigned by the school nurse
- Maintains confidentiality of all information encountered in the scope of responsibilities
- Consults with a Registered Nurse when situation is outside bounds of procedure manual or when treatment advice is necessary
- Attends in-service training sessions
- Provides information to parents regarding student health community resources etc. as directed by the school nurse
- Performs general clinical duties as assigned trained and supervised by the school nurse
- Other duties may be assigned
Starting Salary: COMPENSATION FOR EXPERIENCE IS CONSIDERED 2025-2026 Nurse LPN Salary Schedules
