*REQUIRED: PLEASE ATTACH A RESUME POSITION PURPOSE

Under limited supervision plans executes and finalizes projects according to strict deadlines and within established budget. Employees in the job classification acquire resources and coordinate efforts of team members with third-party contractors vendors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. This job classification requires knowledge of project management methodologies as well as a solid technical or business background. Employees in this position may supervise team members and project leads.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

1. Responsible for overseeing assigned project from inception to completion.

    1. Defines scope goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
    2. Develops full-scale plans including timelines and milestones as well as associated communications documents.
    3. Serves as main point of contact for project. Identifies and resolves issues and conflicts within the project team.
    4. Develops and delivers progress reports proposals requirements and presentations.
    5. Delegates projects tasks and responsibilities to appropriate parties ensuring the project is completed in designated time frame.
    6. Proactively manages changes in project scope. Identifies potential crisis and devises contingency plans.
    7. Conducts extensive review upon project completion. Identifies successful and unsuccessful project elements.

2. Responsible for the training and development of project team members.

  1. Leads trains coaches and directs less knowledgeable team members in project management methodologies.
  2. Motivates team members throughout project life. Influences them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
  3. Provides annual performance input to management regarding team members performance.

3. Responsible for staying informed of current technology and/or products.

  1. Researches and gathers new or improved business or technical information in regards to the retail industry.
  2. Presents findings to management for consideration of application.

PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS

  1. Defines scope goals and deliverables of projects that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
  2. Leads trains coaches and directs less knowledgeable team members in project management methodologies.
  3. Positive business relations exist with internal customers as well as all levels of management vendors consultants and third-party contractors.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Business plus three (3) years of project management experience and at least eight (8) years of related experience in application development or business management or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

A PMI PMP (Project Management Professional) certificate is desired.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:

Strong familiarity with project management software such as MS Project. The following are desired knowledge areas:

Experienced in Agile Project Methodology Waterfall and PMBok

Competent and proficient understanding of platforms such as Mainframe AIX Unix Windows ERP.

Technically competent with SAP ERP project implementations. Business analytical skills.

Must demonstrate ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments and meet tight deadlines.

Must demonstrate self-initiative a sense of urgency and innovation/creativity.

Must demonstrate the ability to work both independently and in a team-orientated environment.

Must demonstrate the ability to be persuasive encouraging and motivating.

Must demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.

Must demonstrate the ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources including upper management users and other departments.

Must be detail-orientated and demonstrate advanced organizational skills.

Must demonstrate the ability to problem-solve and find alternative solutions.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS - Employees may occasionally experience the following physical demands for extended periods of time:

Sitting; frequent sedentary work.

Viewing computer monitor;

Keyboarding; use of fingers to make small movements such as typing and mouse usage.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is performed in a normal business office environment. Occasional travel to other site locations may be required.
