The primary function of the Comprehensive Care Manager is to manage the operations of the University of Louisville Dental Associates Practice located at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry 501 South Preston Street Louisville KY 40202 . This includes planning organizing and coordinating the day to day operation of patient care for providers staff assistants and front desk patient service representatives. This position acts as the liaison between patients doctors and ULSD administrators and manage and directs staff. This position also maintains a safe and secure working environment. The position is multifaceted with the main goal of making it possible for every employee to function effectively and efficiently while providing quality patient care and managing the operation and cost of this practice. Manage all external relationships to include those within the University and those external to the University.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Works with providers staff and supervisors to deliver customer service oriented and patient centered care within the University of Louisville Dental Associates Faculty Practices (501 S Preston and Brown Cancer Center Locations).
Directly supervise 20-23 staff who support 30 faculty providers in total; train conduct performance evaluations approve time sheets and provide discipline when necessary.
Ensure policies and procedures as outlined by the Clinic Administrator are implemented at University of Louisville.
Actively participate in staff meetings and continuous quality improvement programs.
Monitor provider schedules supporting staff to maximize usage of chair utilization.
Meet with providers individually to help manage patient family and facilitate completion of treatment plans for optimal patient care.
Monitor EHR reports (chart audits unapproved notes codes and missing charges) to ensure that discrepancies are corrected as necessary.
Monitor patient outstanding balances to ensure timely collection.
Monitor Quality Assurance forms to stay abreast of any potential customer service issues and respond to any immediate patient escalations.
Monitor funds given to providers/patients from external funding sources.
Collaborate with other departments to implement clinical and procedural changes as needed: Clinical Affairs Dental Informatics Faculty.
Monitor staff responsibilities such as cleaning and stocking the clinic insurance verification and financial guidelines.
Act as an advocate for providers and patients alike.
Maintain HIPAA OSHA and Infection Control compliance at all times following and documenting any incidents as instructed.
Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of an electronic health record database.
Proficient in basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
Previous customer service experience in retail service or healthcare setting is preferred.
Previous Oral Surgery practice experience.
Management/Leadership experience in multi-unit or multi-practice businesses.
Target Compensation Maximum:
$87300.00Target Compensation Minimum:
$58200.00Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
