DescriptionInova Schar Cancer Institute is looking for a dedicated Urologic Oncology Advanced Practice Provider to join the team. This role will be full-time day shift from Monday Friday 8:00 a.m. 4:30 p.m. Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance eligible.
The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will play a key role in supporting the growing Urologic Oncology program at Inova Schar Cancer Institute. Working alongside fellowship-trained urologic oncologists medical oncologists and a multidisciplinary team the APP will provide exceptional patient care in the outpatient setting and contribute to the growth of innovative programs within the division.

Surgical Oncology APP Job Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive assessments including history-taking physical examinations diagnostic evaluations post-operative care and basic urologic procedures for patients with bladder cancer kidney cancer prostate cancer testicular cancer and other malignant urologic conditions
- Collaborate with surgeons to manage preoperative and postoperative care including planning and executing evidence-based treatment protocols.
- Assist in outpatient clinics by performing consultations follow-up care and patient education.
- Conduct minor diagnostic or therapeutic procedures as credentialed and necessary for patient care.
- Collaborate with surgical oncology nurse navigators outpatient and inpatient nursing staff and other multidisciplinary team members to ensure seamless patient care throughout the treatment journey.
Additional Requirements:
- Education:For Nurse Practitioners: Bachelors Degree in Nursing and Masters Degree in Advanced Clinical Practice or graduate of a post-masters certificate program for nurse practitioners OR a certificate from an education program that is accredited by the Council of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs/Schools American College of Nurse Midwives American Association of Colleges of Nursing of the National League for Nursing; For Physician Assistants: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program and certification by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants

Urologic Oncology Advanced Practice Provider Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of one year of experience preferably in surgery urology or oncology
