About the Role
Essity is looking for an experienced Wastewater Treatment Operator who is responsible to ensure all environmental and safety requirements are met. The wastewater treatment operator maintains safe and efficient operations while completing required testing monitoring processes and inspecting equipment.
The ideal candidate should/could live in Middletown OH.

What You Will Do
- Communicate share knowledge and advise mill with waste water safety environmental production centerline usage needs and concerns
- Perform inspections on all waste water equipment and basins
- Maintain a safe clean and orderly waste water treatment plant
- Understand and react to the chemical process and MSDS information
- Follow LOTO procedures
- Understand and react appropriately to H2S Levels spills
- Knowledge of clarifer and aeration basin operations
- Conduct effluent sampling
- Conduct and understand testing for TSS TDS DO Turbidity pH temperature color COD
- Conduct and understand testing for metals and low level mercury
- Conduct all required NPDES permit required testing
- Monitor trending of waste water systems
- Maintain operating license as required by Essity and State of Ohio
Who You Are
- High School Diploma or GED
- Licensed Wastewater Operator with the State of Ohio
- Experience working in an industrial environment preferred
- Ability to use Excel
- Ability to safely perform tasks in a fast paced heavy industrial environment
- Ability to stand reach and twist in a heavy industrial environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to climb ladders walk distances work at heights on platforms work in tight or closed spaces
