Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:

  • Developing optimizing and improving processes to enhance productivity quality and safety.
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements to reduce costs minimize waste and increase efficiency.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of new processes technologies and equipment.
  • Monitoring and analyzing process data identifying trends and proposing solutions for process improvement continuously.
  • Performing process capability studies statistical analysis and data-driven decision-making to achieve operational excellence and meet production targets.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety environmental and regulatory requirements in all process engineering activities.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed analysis and evaluation of existing manufacturing processes identifying areas for improvement and recommending appropriate solutions.
  • Design and implement process optimization strategies to enhance efficiency reduce cycle time and improve quality.
  • Collaborate with engineering production and quality assurance teams to develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
  • Identify and implement process control measures including statistical process control (SPC) techniques to ensure consistent quality and reduce process variation.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise to resolve process-related issues and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
  • Lead process validation activities including protocol development execution and documentation ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to drive root cause analysis corrective actions and preventive measures.
  • Provide training and guidance to production teams on new processes procedures and equipment to ensure successful implementation and operation.
  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in process engineering technologies methodologies and best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelors degree in engineering (industrial mechanical manufacturing process supply chain or similar) or a technical degree may be considered.
  • 2-5 years of experience as a process engineer industrial engineer manufacturing engineer or similar
  • Knowledge of process optimization techniques lean manufacturing principles Six Sigma methodologies and statistical analysis.
  • Proficient in process analysis process modelling statistical analysis and simulation software.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex process issues.
  • Knowledge of process safety risk assessment and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Additional skills and qualifications

  • Experience or knowledge of process improvement tools and methodologies such as Kaizen 5S and Value Stream Mapping.
  • Knowledge of process simulation software and computer-aided design (CAD) tools would be a plus.
  • Solid understanding quality management systems such as ISO standards.
  • SAP / ERP experience desired.

  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to stand and walk; talk or hear both in person and by telephone; use hands to handle or feel objects; reach with hands and arms. Occasionally depending on the project will be required to stoop kneel bend crouch lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 75 pounds.

  • While performing the duties of this job the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

  • PPE may be required depending on the area working in. This could include steel toe shoes or gloves.

  • Temperatures will vary depending on the outside environment and the area you are working in. This job will mostly be performed in the different areas within a warehouse.
