Position Title: Assembly Operator
Department: Manufacturing
Location: Santa Ana CA
FLSA Status: Non-exempt Full- Time
Job Summary:
The Assembly Operator is responsible for assembling components and products according to work instructions drawings and customer specifications. This role plays a critical part in maintaining production schedules ensuring quality standards and supporting the overall manufacturing process in a fast-paced contract manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assemble products or components using hand tools power tools and fixtures.
Follow detailed work instructions blueprints and diagrams to ensure proper assembly.
Conduct in-process inspections to verify correct assembly and identify defects.
Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S and safety standards.
Meet daily/weekly production targets while maintaining quality and efficiency.
Communicate issues with supervisors or quality personnel promptly.
Perform basic testing or inspection of completed parts.
Support team members and participate in cross-training opportunities.
Document production data accurately on job travelers or electronic systems.
Follow all company policies and safety regulations.
10%-20% of time will be allocated to the organization control and printing of assembly labels to support departmental needs and requests.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous assembly or manufacturing experience is a plus especially in contract manufacturing.
Ability to read and understand work instructions and technical documents.
Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
Physical Requirements:
Capable of standing bending and lifting up to 30 lbs for extended periods.
Manual dexterity to handle small components and operate equipment.
Manufacturing floor environment with varying noise levels.
