Consolidated Manufacturing Center (CMC) is seeking an experienced Mechanical Assembler for a 1st shift position in our McKinney TX factory. You will perform a wide variety of tasks in support of a manufacturing / production environment such as assembly disassembly re-assembly fabrication repair or inspection of electronic electrical and mechanical systems.

What you will do:

  • Set up and operate a variety of machines and hand instruments.
  • Route dispatch and expedite flow of material.
  • Check for work accuracy and help teammates.
  • Parts and material preparation for the assembly and rework of electronic and mechanical assemblies.
  • Perform wire/cable preparation installation crimping and torquing using hand instruments.
  • Perform repetitive tasks in accordance with an established demonstrated process.
  • Perform in-process inspections in accordance with company standards and customer specifications
  • Job requires standing 80-90% and walking short distances 10-20% bending at the waist 20% lifting and/or carrying < 40lbs.
  • Excellent hand / finger dexterity.
  • Ability to shift job assignments based on production requests.

What you will learn:

  • Will receive soldering training and become solder-certified.

Qualifications you must have:

  • Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/ technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
    • Relevant experience is working in a manufacturing / production environment doing hands-on assembly installation repair inspection and / or test of electronic or mechanical equipment.
  • Experience with the use of common hand tools (screwdrivers sockets ratchets torque tools and / or analyzers etc.)
  • Experience using work instructions customer specifications drawings and / or other quality standards documentation.
  • Experience using a computer. Examples include: entering timesheets online using email updating job status in database and / or Microsoft Office tools etc.
  • U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications we prefer:

  • Extreme attention to detail.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Experience with VM CMES SAP or other manufacturing automation databases and programs.
  • Ability to work with production resources and teammates to meet production goals using effective time management skills.
  • Demonstrated motivation for continuous improvement.
  • Ability to accomplish daily work tasks with a positive attitude and interpersonal tact skills.
  • Develop more than one job at a time.
