The Service Valet is responsible for maintaining a smooth flow of vehicles through the Service Drive.
Essential Functions
- Greets all customers entering the service area with a friendly upbeat attitude answers their questions and directs them to the appropriate person or location.
- Controls service traffic flow and parking.
- Determines if customers coming into service have an appointment. Records customers name VIN tag number mileage and existing vehicle damage.
- Assists service advisors when needed.
- Maintains a clean and safe service drive area free of dirt water leaves snow etc.
- Place vehicle Interior Protection in each vehicle.
- Tag keys and place mirror tags in all vehicles.
- Move vehicles to an appointed parking area and ensure all windows are up and all vehicles are locked.
- Serves as a backup Lot Attendant
- Completed other tasks and duties as assigned by the Service Manager.
Requirements
- Previous work experience as a Porter/Valet preferred.
- Valid and clean driving record
- Ability to operate manual transmissions.
- Regular Attendance
- Must wear proper Garavel uniform and maintain a clean professional appearance
- Positive attitude
Physical Demands:The ideal candidate must meet the physical demands described here to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. Service Valets frequently:
- All weather toughness exposure to inclement weather
- Prolonged periods of standing sitting stooping and bending.
- Frequently getting in and out of cars.
- Frequently walking around the dealership and parking lots
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
