Lighthouse Lab Services is representing a hospital laboratory seeking a skilled and motivated Microbiology Supervisor to join their team on a full-time day shift basis in Macon GA. About the Role:
As the Microbiology Supervisor youll oversee the daily operations of the microbiology section of the lab ensuring regulatory compliance quality control and efficient workflow. Youll collaborate closely with lab management and medical staff to maintain high standards of patient care and laboratory accuracy.
Responsibilities:
Supervise daily operations of the microbiology laboratory section
Ensure compliance with all laboratory regulations and quality standards
Provide leadership training and mentorship to laboratory personnel
Oversee quality control instrument maintenance and troubleshooting
Collaborate with other departments to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Participate in inspections and ensure readiness for regulatory audits
Requirements:
Experience:
Minimum 3 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting
3 years of microbiology experience required for consideration as Microbiology Supervisor
Education & Certification:
Bachelors Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science Medical Technology or related field
Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Technologist (MT) by the ASCP (American Society for Clinical Pathology) or equivalent accrediting agency
Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive hourly pay ranging from $40.30 to $60.45 based on experience
