Sonography/Ultrasound Technologist (Permanent Role) Location: Waco TX 76712
Shift: 12 HR Days Shift
Guaranteed Hours: (12 hours/week)
Compensation: Based on experience
Essential Functions: - Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures in accordance with physician orders and exam protocols.
- Deliver high-quality imaging while maintaining patient comfort and safety.
- Utilize AIDET communication to identify patient needs and ensure correct procedures.
- Educate patients and families regarding the procedure ensuring informed cooperation and comfort.
- Set up and position equipment and patients for optimal imaging results.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols infection control and sterile technique.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper functionality of ultrasound equipment and workspaces.
- Collaborate with biomedical and engineering teams to resolve equipment issues.
- Assist with inventory management of medical supplies.
- Screen all individuals entering the department for safety compliance.
- Document all procedures and maintain accurate patient records.
- Review and maintain imaging records for timely and accurate interpretation.

- Familiarity with emergency response procedures and ability to administer first aid.
- Maintains knowledge of care practices across all age groups from newborn to geriatric.
Certification & Licensure Requirements (one or more of the following): - ARDMS:
- OB/GYN (RDMS-OB)
- Abdomen (RDMS-AB)
- Breast (RDMS-BR)
- Musculoskeletal (MSK)
- Vascular Technology (RVT)
- ARRT:
- Sonography (ARRT-S)
- Breast Sonography (ARRT-BS)
- CCI:
- Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS)
Active certification and good standing required at time of employment.
