About the Role
As a Senior Front-End Engineer at Bilue youll be part of a high-performing consultancy team that takes pride in delivering high-quality digital products. Youll play a hands-on role in building and enhancing web-based user interfaces using along with core web technologies such as JavaScript HTML and CSS.
We work with some of Australias most recognisable brands so we care deeply about delivering elegant scalable and accessible solutions. Youll collaborate with designers product managers and engineers across disciplines to bring great ideas to life always with a strong focus on usability performance and clean code.
Responsibilities
- Build responsive accessible and interactive user interfaces using and modern front-end best practices
- Collaborate closely with designers product managers and back-end engineers to deliver seamless digital experiences
- Write clean modular and maintainable code in JavaScript (ES6) and TypeScript
- Optimise applications for performance speed and scalability across devices and browsers
- Contribute to and evolve front-end design systems and component libraries
- Participate in sprint planning code reviews and design discussions to uphold a high standard of delivery
- Continuously improve our front-end tooling workflows and development practices
- Work within a modern Agile delivery environment supporting rapid iteration and client collaboration
Qualifications :
About You
- 6 years of professional experience in front-end development ideally in a consultancy or fast-paced delivery environment
- Deep expertise in and strong knowledge of JavaScript (ES6)
- Proficient in HTML5 CSS3 and modern styling approaches (SCSS CSS Modules styled-components)
- Experience working with REST APIs and handling asynchronous data
- Familiar with modern build tools (Webpack Vite or Parcel)
- Strong grasp of component-based architecture and front-end design patterns
- Proficient with TypeScript
- Exposure to .NET-based platforms (PowerWeb Premier etc.)
- Comfortable using Git and working in an Agile cross-functional team
- Familiar with state management tools such as Redux Zustand or Recoil
- Experience with testing frameworks (e.g. Jest React Testing Library Cypress)
- Awareness of accessibility (a11y) standards and performance optimisation techniques
- A passion for quality user experience and continuous improvement
