Job Description

As a Project Manager you own the delivery of multidisciplinary design projects. You will be expected to work within a team to successfully manage and deliver planning projects.

You will have a background in building planning and design project management and experience in the delivery of a range of multi-disciplinary projects from the public and private sectors in Germany. You will be familiar with working in large cross-regional multidisciplinary teams on projects at all stages of the project lifecycle including development from feasibility to detailed design and construction.

Responsibilities:

  • Project management including stakeholder schedule and contract management
  • Ownership of and responsibility for the successful delivery of your project
  • Preparing and maintaining schedules including dependencies and resources
  • Identifying and monitoring project risks and opportunities
  • Quality management processes for project activities and outputs
  • Managing stakeholders taking account of their levels of influence and particular interests
  • Establishing and maintaining project governance reviews
  • Strong relationships are developed with clients and members of the cross-functional team
  • Business development opportunities with existing and new clients including cross-selling opportunities are identified and acted upon
  • Manage the delivery of project management team outputs in accordance with agreed timescales and quality standards
  • Mentorship of junior project managers

Qualifications :

  • Academic or vocational qualification in a relevant technical or project management discipline. Engineering or Architectural background preferred
  • Experience in managing large architecture and planning projects in Germany. Minimum 5 years
  • Proficiency with regard to German market requirements and regulations such as HOAI VOB
  • Experience in managing large delivery teams from different geographies
  • Full contractual proficiency in German and English languages
  • 3 days per week office attendance in Essen
  • Occasional travel to project sites and clients offices
