Job Description

The Marketing and Business Development representative will create and build client relationships while sponsoring interaction to win project work. This role assists in developing client outreach concentrating on our service lines presentations and facilitating the proposal process for clients including developing and coordinating request for proposal response packages in InDesign proposal documents budget and pricing development.

This position will report directly to the Principal in Charge and will involve a variety of business functions including but not limited to:

  • Perform market research in collaboration with other Business Development team members and senior technical staff to identify opportunities prospective clients and to perform outreach activities. Outreach activity may include existing or prior clients or new clients within a targeted market segment.
  • Establish and maintain client relationships. Assist other Business Development team members in developing outreach plans defining roles and responsibilities and the scope of work for each service offering with input from senior leaders and functional groups.
  • Communicate back to internal groups the outcomes of the client outreach campaigns focusing on conveying the expectations set forth for each group i.e. clear details critical timeframes expectations and lessons learned/areas for improvement.
  • Assist senior technical leaders in developing presentation and/or marketing materials as necessary to support client outreach and proposals.  Engage with in-house marketing staff as necessary for materials support.
  • Review qualification and proposal requests assess proposal requirements and identify coordinate input with Principals on proposal scope and fees.
  • Develop technical proposals and qualifications packages as needed to meet team deadlines based on existing proposal templates and qualifications materials.
  • Track and report on the status of all opportunities and outreach programs.
  • Contact clients/prospects to obtain any additional information needed to develop the proposal and confirm proposal receipt.
  • Collect enter and maintain client and project data in our CRM platform (Deltek).

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree with concentration in Business Administration Marketing or similar
  • 3-7 years of experience in Business Development for Design/Construction/Development
  • Excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills and strong organizational skills
  • Limited travel in the Northeast (Boston)
  • Knowledge of the project structure in a client/consultant business environment
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (especially Adobe InDesign) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Outlook PowerPoint Teams).
  • Detail oriented and highly motivated self-starter able to work well with others under deadline situations and respond to changes in priorities
  • Ability to work independently take initiative set priorities and see projects through to completion
  • Prior experience with Deltek Vision as a relationship management tracking platform is a plus
