Position Overview:
As a Software Engineer you will play a key role in designing developing testing and integrating prototype algorithms and/or user interface components. This role spans the full development lifecycle and provides the opportunity to work on projects that directly impact national defense efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement innovative algorithms to solve complex technical challenges
Design and build UI/UX interfaces incorporating real-time feedback through storyboarding and customer input
Create wireframes mockups and interactive web prototypes
Deploy containerized software to cloud on-premise and edge computing environments
Write and maintain unit tests to ensure high code coverage and software reliability
Maintain clear and thorough technical documentation
Collaborate closely with team members and stakeholders to gather and refine project requirements
Participate in code reviews and contribute to a scalable maintainable codebase
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or a related field
Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance
Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g. Python JavaScript Java C/C C# Rust)
Solid understanding of software architecture design patterns and best practices
Experience with cloud services such as AWS or Azure
Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with astrodynamics or Space Domain Awareness concepts
Foundational knowledge of DevOps and a desire to grow in this area
Experience with SQL and NoSQL database design
