Job Description
Job Title: ENT Surgical Tech
Location: Peoria IL
Salary: Up to $29.00/hour
Shift: Full-time Monday-Friday 6:30 AM-3:00 PM No nights weekends or major holidays
Job Overview:
We are hiring two experienced ENT Surgical Techs to join a multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center. Candidates will specialize in ENT procedures and are expected to cross-train into additional surgical services. Certification is not required but prior experience is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare sterile instrument setups and assist in ENT surgical procedures
- Pass instruments hold retractors and anticipate surgeon needs
- Maintain strict sterile technique and patient safety standards
- Clean and restock operating rooms and sterilize equipment per protocols
- Recognize and report patient condition changes during surgery
- Demonstrate competency in fewer than five surgical specialties (cross-training required)
- Follow AORN and AST best practices and safety protocols
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of Surgical Tech experience - Required
- Strong understanding of ENT surgical procedures and sterile technique
- Ability to provide care for patients aged 6 months through adult
- Interpersonal skills to work collaboratively under high-pressure environments
- Completion of a Surgical Tech program - Preferred
