787 Quality Multi-Family Manager (3rd Shift)

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a Quality Multi-Family Manager (Level K) to support our Pos 2 Pos 3 and Finished Goods Inventory (FGI) teams within 787 Quality in North Charleston South Carolina. This role involves leading teams of quality technicians responsible for critical airplane testing.

You will manage a group of employees engaged in partnering with various manufacturing disciplines ensuring efficient operations and high quality production. If you are passionate about fostering a collaborative work environment and driving continuous improvement we want to hear from you!

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads and manages a high performing team of quality professionals

  • Develops and executes business plans policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies

  • Provides education leadership and coaching on the Quality System

  • Acquires and manages resources and leads process improvements

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers stakeholders peers partners suppliers and direct reports

  • Manages develops and motivates others

  • Exhibits Boeing Behaviors and Values

  • Possesses & influences a mindset of safety quality & excellence

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5 years of experience inspecting aircraft/aerospace parts components and/or assemblies for conformance with applicable drawings specifications quality standards and manufacturing plans

  • 3 years of experience leading teams in a formal and /or informal role

  • 3 years of experience leading process improvement activities

  • Experience working and partnering with cross-functional teams

  • Willingness to work any shift based on business needs

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • High School diploma or GED

  • 3 years of experience with workload management

  • Experience working directly with internal suppliers

  • Prior military related experience

  • A&P license

  • Self-motivated works well independently leading teams
