Job Description

Primary Responsibilities

  • Receive unload count position and maintain all plants and associated materials in the sales yard.
  • Serve customers in the yard. Build relationships with foreman and crews associated to our customer base.
  • Select and stage orders for customers as directed by branch management and sales staff while demonstrating the ability to be a team player.
  • Load sales orders onto trucks for delivery/pick-up; maintain accurate paperwork and accurately audit material during the loading/unloading process.
  • Own and maintain safe work practices and behaviors.
  • Use and operate radio communication in a professional manner with all other employees.
  • Operate skid steer and other MHE under OSHA certification as required.
  • Space jam prune weed fertilize water or take other plant care measures to keep plants healthy.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Additional Duties

  • Serve the customer and care for the product and teamduring deliveries and pick-up operations whilerepresenting the MNI Direct brand in a professional manner.
  • Ensure all paperwork is accurate and complete prior to leaving for delivery and turned in to required parties upon return.
  • Safely operate and maintain MNI Direct owned leased and rented vehicles and MHE.
  • Perform required pre-operation and post-operation user maintenance and completerequired reports.
  • Maintain required drivers inspections and necessary papers in accordance with DOT laws and regulations.
  • Must know and abide by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration truck driver guide for hours of service including driver hours duty hours and rest requirements.
  • Maintain an up-to-date drivers license to include current residential address as required by state law.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned to support and improve the overall team operations.

Required Skills Knowledge and Training

  • Education
    • High School diploma or secondary diploma or equivalent desired.
  • Skills and Training
    • Ability and desire to do the job once and right exhibit pride in work.
    • Friendly outgoing cheerful professional
    • Great at verbal communication with clear understanding when speaking (Fluent English) Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
    • A valid drivers license (Current State) and active DOT health card are required.
    • Previous experience driving a 26 straight truck is required.
    • Ability to accurately maintain and submit driver inspection reports.
    • Ability and desire to learn plant names and location in the yard.
    • One or more year of safe driving record
    • Ability to find locations on a map or other device and plot a course to those locations.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged walking and standing.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule (M-F) including early mornings after business hours and occasional weekend deliveries.
  • Ability to work in severe weather conditions both heat and cold.
