Job Description
Schedule: 4 on 4 off rotation 10pm - 6am
Payrate: $24.75/hour
Your Must Have(s):
- BC Security Workers License
- Basic First Aid Certificate (OFA 1 or equivalent)
- Class 5 Drivers License with a clean abstract
- Tracktik security reporting system knowledge preferred
- Strong observation communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions quickly
- Physically able to walk stand and conduct patrols for extended periods
- Proficient in basic report writing and use of mobile or digital devices
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- 1-2 years of previous security experience preferred
- Conduct mobile and/or foot patrols of assigned areas including buildings grounds parking lots and perimeter.
- Monitor for signs of theft trespass vandalism fire safety hazards or suspicious behavior.
- Report and document all incidents irregularities and safety concerns in accordance with company and client policies.
- Respond to alarms emergencies and calls for assistance calmly and professionally.
- Enforce site-specific rules client policies and safety protocols.
- Lock and unlock doors gates and access points as required by patrol route or schedule.
- Perform wellness checks site status reports and provide escort services if requested.
- Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a strong security presence.
- Work collaboratively with emergency services law enforcement and internal teams when needed.
- Maintain logs complete digital or written reports and use radios phones or tablets to communicate with dispatch and supervisors.
- Work is performed both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
- May involve night weekend and holiday shifts
