Job Description
Job Title: Senior Geotechnical Engineer
Location: Tallahassee FL
Employment Type: Full-Time Permanent On-site
Pay Range: As per Exp.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our growing team in Tallahassee FL. This is an excellent opportunity for a geotechnical engineer geologist or soils lab technician with strong technical expertise and leadership skills to manage a diverse portfolio of residential commercial and government projects. You will be involved in everything from subsurface exploration and lab testing to advanced foundation and slope stability analysis.
Key Responsibilities-
Lead and mentor junior engineering and field staff

Manage multiple geotechnical projects from proposal to completion

Prepare technical proposals review contracts and track project budgets

Conduct subsurface investigations and perform field and laboratory soil testing

Perform engineering analyses including:
-
Soil classification and laboratory interpretation
-
Shallow and deep foundation design
-
Retaining wall analysis and design
-
Slope stability and settlement analysis
-

Oversee the preparation and review of geotechnical reports including:
-
Foundation analysis reports
-
Earth retaining structure reports
-
Laboratory test result summaries
-

Supervise subcontractors on fieldwork and testing programs
-
Bachelors or Masters degree in Geotechnical Civil or Environmental Engineering (or closely related field)

Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Geotechnical Consulting industry

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
-
Excellent communication report-writing and project coordination skills
-
Holds or is working toward a Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) license
-
Experience with field and lab equipment and interpreting soils data
-
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Standard 8-hour shift Monday through Friday
