Job Summary:
This role is for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in a long-term care facility. The CNA will provide direct patient care assist with activities of daily living and collaborate with the nursing team. Previous long-term care and travel experience are required. The position involves a variable 4x12 or 3x12 hour shift schedule with guaranteed hours per pay period. A valid CNA license is required; however pending licenses are accepted with the condition that the application is submitted within 72 hours of contract signing.

Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing dressing toileting and ambulation.
- Obtain and record vital signs weights and other patient data.
- Collect and process specimens (urine stool sputum).
- Assist with feeding and meal delivery.
- Perform basic nursing procedures as delegated by the RN such as incentive spirometry pulse oximetry and blood sugar checks.
- Maintain and clean equipment.
- Communicate patient status and report changes to the licensed nursing staff.
- Perform clerical duties such as answering phones and documenting patient care.
- Assist in emergency situations.
- Transport patients.
- Prepare rooms for admissions and discharges.
- Provide post-mortem care.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license (or pending license with application submitted within 72 hours of contract signing).
- Minimum of one year of experience in long-term care.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous travel experience.
- Valid drivers license and auto insurance (or confirmation of alternative transportation).

Special Considerations:
- Travel experience is required.
- Must be able to work a variable 4x12 or 3x12 hour shift schedule (days or nights based on facility needs).
- Clinician will float within their scope to meet facility needs.
- On-call is not required.
- Guaranteed hours are 84 per two weeks with the possibility of one 12-hour shift cancellation per two weeks.
- Facility provides a vehicle for use during the assignment with specific rules and restrictions regarding usage and maintenance.
- Permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility.
- Time off is approved on an individual basis.
Scheduling:
- Variable 4x12 or 3x12 hour shifts (travelers choice).
- Shifts will be either days or nights depending on facility needs.
- No mandatory rotation between day and night shifts (occasional exceptions for urgent staffing needs).
- Guaranteed 84 hours per two-week period.
