Tax Senior Associate

We are currently recruiting for a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Tax Associate to join a well-established CPA firm based in Century City Los Angeles. This role is ideal for a tax professional who thrives in a collaborative high-performance environment and is looking to work with a distinguished client base across real estate entertainment and professional services.
The ideal candidate will have a solid background in public accounting with hands-on experience in preparing and reviewing complex tax returns. This is a full-time in-office role that offers a competitive compensation package robust benefits and strong opportunities for professional advancement.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and review a wide range of complex federal and multi-state tax returns including individual corporate partnership and trust returns.
Engage with clients directly to gather necessary documentation clarify information and provide timely professional communication throughout the engagement.
Conduct in-depth tax research and draft technical memoranda on federal and state issues including planning strategies for high-net-worth individuals and closely held businesses.
Assist with tax projections and scenario modeling to support strategic planning efforts.
Prepare tax accounting entries and adjustments for various business entities as part of compliance and financial reporting requirements.
Mentor junior staff members offering guidance training and performance feedback to support their professional development.
Stay current with evolving tax legislation and ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and firm policies.
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field is required.
A Masters in Accounting or Taxation is highly preferred.
Active CPA EA or JD license strongly preferred.
Minimum 3 5 years of experience in tax preparation within a public accounting firm.
At least 2 years of experience working with complex multi-state tax filings and high-net-worth individual returns.
Proficiency with Lacerte tax software and Tax Tools.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel Word and Outlook.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet strict deadlines.
A client-focused mindset with the ability to build trusted professional relationships.
Competitive salary range: $120000 $140000 based on experience.
