About the Role
The Client is seeking a Data Catalog Tooling Onboarding Analyst (VP) to support and grow enterprise metadata management capabilities. This role supports Citis centralized Data Catalog platform-a metadata solution enabling over 8000 internal systems to manage data dictionaries data lineage business glossaries quality rules ownership and access protocols.
The selected candidate will join a global team of technical onboarding specialists focused on educating supporting and guiding business and technology users to effectively onboard and utilize the Data Catalog tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) and trusted advisor on Data Catalog onboarding and adoption
- Create and maintain user documentation training material and demo scripts for new features
- Deliver live demos and training sessions for internal users across business units
- Provide Tier 2 (L2) technical support and maintain runbooks for Tier 1 (L1) teams
- Collaborate with product management developers and business analysts to share user feedback and support enhancement planning
- Onboard new use cases and promote platform capabilities across departments
- Design and generate reports on usage metrics operational status and data quality
- Perform ad-hoc data analysis and SQL queries as needed
- Assist in release/change management and coordinate communications regarding system updates
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in a technical field (e.g. Computer Science Information Systems)
- 7 years of relevant experience in metadata management onboarding technical support or product enablement
- Proven experience working in large fast-paced technology organizations
- Strong written verbal and presentation skills; confident engaging diverse technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience with metadata tools Data Governance or Data Modeling is preferred
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs SOAP APIs HTTP/HTTPS protocols and data formats like JSON/XML
- Working knowledge of at least one programming language (Java Python or JavaScript)
- Proficient in SQL for ad-hoc analysis and reporting
- Highly organized with a systems-thinking and data-driven mindset
- Ability to manage competing priorities and thrive under pressure
- Team-first mentality with a proactive and solution-oriented approach

- Familiarity with enterprise data governance frameworks and compliance standards
